Is registration required in Ireland after receiving a student visa?

Students arriving for longer study programmes may need to register after arrival, depending on their circumstances. A visa, border entry permission and student registration are separate matters. Registration may require evidence concerning studies, financial resources and medical insurance. Check the applicable registration procedure and Irish Residence Permit requirements through official channels.
