Should requirements be checked again after permission is issued?

Yes. Receiving permission does not remove the need to review travel documents and entry conditions. Check passport details, the name on the ticket, permission conditions and any passport record linked to digital status. An ETA is passport-linked, so do not assume it remains usable after a passport replacement. Visas and digital permissions may have separate document-update rules. Changes to the itinerary must remain compatible with the permission held, and border officers may ask about the visit. Recheck GOV.UK and relevant carrier instructions close to departure; a carrier check does not replace the official eligibility assessment.
