A valid visa issued by another Schengen country can cover a short visit to Romania if its conditions allow it. Check territorial validity, permitted duration, validity dates and remaining entries together. A limited-territorial-validity visa requires particular attention because it may not include Romania. Previous Schengen stays also reduce the available short-stay allowance. If a single-entry visa was already used and you subsequently left Schengen, it may not support another entry. Consult Romania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs if the document’s scope is unclear. Supporting evidence about the visit may still be requested at the border.
